The Clayton Autumn Update

Friends,

With Thanksgiving only weeks away, we wanted to share our gratitude for all the tremendous support and provide an update on our work and progress.

As I begin my fourth year at Clayton, the first days of school still inspire me. It’s magical to see families trust our staff with their children, and it’s inspiring to see how our amazing staff engages and supports our families and their children. It’s truly a community and one I am humbled to serve.

At Clayton, we are committed to giving children an exceptional start while empowering our families for lifelong success. We know the more stable and healthier the family, the better results we achieve for their children. We believe vital services to help families thrive, such as healthcare, housing, jobs, and food, are essential. And we believe these vital services should be delivered by the most capable community partners, and that we can anchor these partnerships on the campus where they can be more readily accessible.

Earlier this month, the final architectural design for our new Denver Health clinic was completed. This exciting venture will bring comprehensive healthcare for both children and adults to our campus, including behavioral health, dentistry, and primary care services.

We have also initiated improvements to one of our vacant buildings to house the Denver Center for African Art. This exhibit space will host events that showcase some outstanding art and will offer new and exciting engagement opportunities for our families, children, and the community. We believe in the power of art and creativity, and we are looking forward to their opening in just a few months.

The gradual transformation to a campus that better serves our families, and the community-at-large is the longer-term goal, and it’s exciting to see the components beginning to come together.

I wanted to close by saying thank you to all of you for showing up and supporting Clayton at our annual Futures Grow Here Gala. It was inspiring to see so many people come together to stand with our families, children, and staff. We are in the hopes and dreams business, and you help bring these hopes and dreams to life!

Ever forward –

William
