As we near the mid-point for summer, we continue to dream about the future Clayton and this continues with new and exciting investments, including two new sensory play areas which were recently featured on 9News. Watching children explore these spaces is a beautiful remedy to the stress we feel during these uncertain times. These new outdoor exploration areas are a product of our generous partnership with PNC Bank – a partner who continues to make dreams come true for us.
Making dreams come true is what we strive to achieve with our campus transformation for hundreds of Clayton families like single mothers Katie and Marie. As with many within our community, they both struggle day-to-day to simply provide a good life for themselves and their children, including access to affordable, quality healthcare. Providing our families with immediate and convenient access to comprehensive health care (including pediatric care, mental health, and dentistry) is a critical first step in providing vital on-campus services.
We are proud that Katie, Marie, and all in our community can look to a better future, thanks to the leadership and engagement of the Colorado Health Foundation, who graciously committed funding for the last stage of the architectural design for a new Denver Health clinic, which will provide these services. We are thrilled to launch this project, making the dream of an on-campus clinic a reality through our capital funding campaign. Some of you may receive a separate email this week with a request to complete a survey related to this campaign, and we would greatly appreciate your input.
Our dreams don’t stop there, as we are also working to enhance our campus with a vibrant arts scene, and further activate building spaces to serve the community. Our plans to house special event and exhibition space for the Denver Center for African Art are progressing well, as is a promising partnership we are forming with RedLine Contemporary Art Center to bring artists to the campus. Blending this with investments to make our beautiful administration building more accessible, we will be hosting new arts-based programming that will inspire and engage both children and adults.
We are making these dreams come true this year.
Dreams come true with support from all of you. Katie, Marie, and over 500 families here at Clayton are dependent upon your support. Our Futures Grow Here Gala on October 23rd is a great way to show your support and make an investment that helps make dreams come true.
Ever forward with gratitude –
William
