Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale, Third Edition (FCCERS-3) Certification Training
In this eight-hour training of the Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale, participants will learn how to use the FCCERS-3 to assess how well a program is meeting children's needs. Participants will garner an in-depth understanding of what the FCCERS-3 subscales, items, and indicators require and the rationale for those requirements. Participants engage in hands on activities to learn specifics about how to complete scoring, how to conduct an assessment, and will have several opportunities to practice scoring. Upon completion of this training, participants will be eligible to go through the certification process to become a certified observer for the FCCERS-3 scale. It is useful to those who want detailed information about the FCCERS-3 including teaching staff and directors, as well those who provide technical assistance and support in program quality enhancement efforts, such as coaches or mentors.
