Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health: Do You Make a Difference?

Register by 12/10!
This is a virtual training and your Zoom information will be emailed to you before the event.

This training will provide early childhood professionals with a brief overview of the importance of building healthy relationships with young children in their care. The training provide a basic overview of brain development, early developmental theories, attachment styles, and how early adverse life experiences can have a negative impact on the formation of secure relationships. The training will incorporate activities where participants will be asked to use learned knowledge with case studies (how to incorporate language with children that may show dysregulated behavior). Participants will also discuss how newly gained skills and knowledge from the training may be applied to their everyday work with young children (ways they can work with young children to form secure attachments). Most of the focus will be on the formation of attachments between the child and child care providers. Available in English or Spanish. (Disponible en inglés o español.)
