Comcast Cares Day at Clayton

APRIL 30 - Comcast Cares Day is the nation's largest single-day corporate service effort and Clayton Early Learning is proud to have been a Comcast Cares Day volunteer site for the past five years.

Though local volunteers for this incredible event have historically worked amid pleasant weather at Clayton, this year's team was met with snow, rain, mud and wind instead of the usual sunshine and blue skies that we expect for the end of April.
Nevertheless, on a very cold and wet April 30, 2016, more than 100 dedicated Comcast and Clayton Early Learning volunteers worked tirelessly to complete projects throughout our 20 acre campus.

Staff, children and families arrived at the Historic Clayton Campus on the following Monday to see new trees planted, garden beds prepped for spring, scrubbed buildings and a manicured landscape. "Now I'm excited to get to work in these gardens" exclaimed one Clayton parent, who walks her children to school each morning through the Clayton Moonbeam Garden. "I just can believe you all were here in the snow this weekend!" she explained.

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity that Comcast continues to show Clayton Early Learning. Their support has made an incredible impact on our school environments and we are proud to partner with a corporation so dedicated to the communities they serve.
