Well-child care seeks to keep children healthy and to identify potential health concerns early. The earlier a child’s health needs are identified and met, the better health and developmental outcomes for the child.

Well-child care requires a collaborative partnership between Head Start staff, families and the medical home to ensure every child enrolled in Head Start receives recommended screenings, examinations, immunizations, as well as follow-up evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.

Our goal is to support all enrolled children in developing the skills and knowledge that will contribute to their kindergarten readiness. We closely track child outcomes and the quality of our classrooms using a variety of assessment tools and methods.

All data from 2010-2011. Total children served through Clayton Educare represent 4.6% of all Denver children eligible at 100% poverty level.
