Early Head Start Research Consortium

The Early Head Start Research and Evaluation Project is a randomized controlled trial of 17 Early Head Start programs purposively sampled from the first two waves of grantees. The study is conducted by the Early Head Start Research Consortium which consists of representatives from the 17 sites, Mathematica Policy Research, and the Administration for Children and Families. In her current position as Senior Director of Research and Evaluation for the Clayton Early Learning Institute, Dr. Klute is an active member of the Consortium and is providing input on the Grade 5 follow-up and working on manuscripts documenting the impact of the program. She is also collaborating on a monograph which will detail the impacts of the program observed at the pre-kindergarten follow-up.
