Shant’a Johnson began her journey in service to families and children 12 years ago as a youth intern for Assets for Colorado Youth. Shant’a found her niche in Head Start where she has served families for the past 10 years. Most recently, Shant’a began serving in the position of Recruitment and Eligibility Specialist at Clayton Early Learning in January of 2011, where she seeks to enhance visibility for Clayton Early Learning to recruit families as well as strengthen community partnerships. She also provides active support to the Fatherhood and Positive Male Involvement program. For the past two years with Clayton, she served on a team of Lead Child Family Educators and partnered with families to reach their life goals and build strong social networks in their communities. Shant’a represents Clayton on the Denver Children’s Taskforce, and is a Fellow of the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program through the University of Denver’s Morgridge College of Education. She looks forward to earning her Master's of Educational Administration Degree in the near future. Shant’a holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in leadership through the Pioneer Leadership Program at the University of Denver.
